About This Dog for Adoption

Foxy's ideal home

Foxy is on the lookout for a calm and patient household that can provide the love and reassurance she deserves! This delightful pup thrives on consistent positive reinforcement and gentle handling, making an understanding environment essential for her to flourish.

Foxy will need to be the only pet within the household.

A secure garden for play and exercise is a must, as it will give Foxy ample space to enjoy herself and expend some of her energy. Active involvement in training is also important to help manage her excitement and build her confidence.

During her settling-in period, Foxy will need company for most of the time, so families should be ready to gradually build up her alone time. An adult-only or home with secondary school children would be ideal, given her sensitivity and lively nature.

Dog-savvy owners who understand body language and can help her feel secure will find a wonderful companion in Foxy. If you think you can provide the loving environment she needs, she can’t wait to meet you!

Could you be Foxy's perfect match?

Foxy is a seven-year-old Terrier Crossbreed who came to us from a multiple-dog household, some of whom were found to have foreign microchips.

Due to this, Foxy was placed under strict quarantine while we carried out the necessary health checks to ensure they are not carrying any diseases that are non-endemic to the UK.

This process has caused a delay in our usual assessment timeline, and we are still getting to know Foxy's personality and needs.

As such, some of the information we provide may be subject to change. Despite this, we are very keen to find Foxy a loving home.

Foxy is an adorable little bundle of joy who absolutely loves carrying her favourite squeaky balls around! Her playful spirit even shines through when she’s in her kennel, where she can often be found happily bouncing and playing with her toys.

When it’s time to leave her kennel, you can just feel the excitement radiating from her! And nothing gets her tail wagging faster than the promise of a tasty treat.

Foxy craves human contact and enjoys a good fuss, always eager to make connections with those around her. However, she is still on her journey to full trust, so there are moments when she might feel a bit worried about handling. With patience and love, we’re sure she will blossom even more!

Foxy is a sweet soul who is ready to find her forever home, filled with warmth, kindness, and plenty of playtime!

Jack Russell Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
