About This Dog for Adoption

Bruce's ideal home

Bruce is a sweet boy on the search for his forever home. He has made some doggie friends here at the centre but does need to be the only dog as has shown resource guarding around food and fuss- he would be happy to have walking friends. Although he has a history of guarding, we have not seen this at the centre. Bruce needs a private garden that he can enjoy with his family. He has not been around children previously but would be best suited to live with teenagers due to previous behaviours shown around toys. Bruce is currently on a diet so his new owners would need to help with him with his weight loss journey. Bruce is housetrained and has settled into his foster home really well! He is currently being muzzled trained for the vets as he can find having his legs and nails touched uncomfortable. He does have some medical considerations but is not currently on any medication- all details will be discussed with our vet team upon a booking.

Could you be Bruce's perfect match?

Bruce is a handsome boy who loves going on long adventures with his favourite people. He loves a tasty treat but is currently on a diet so these are being appropriately managed. Bruce has been loving life on foster, enjoying all the home comforts he can. He has been enjoying playing with toys but does at times want space with these to enjoy by himself. He is a cracking lad who is always eager to say hello to new people and get lots of attention. He has the best waggy tail and will never fail to make you smile.

Jack Russell Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
