About This Dog for Adoption

Tweetie's ideal home

Tweetie is a charismatic Pug cross Jack Russell Terrier, a breed that is fondly known as a ‘Jug’. Just as much cheeky as he is endearing, Tweetie is bound to bring an abundance of joy to his future family. He’s a friendly chap and loves spending time with his humans but has been known to ‘mouth’ like a puppy would when over-excited. Because of this, as well as his sensitivity to noise, we feel that Tweetie would be best suited to a home where the youngest family members are of secondary-school age, and able to be calm around him. While Tweetie is happy to socialise with other friendly pooches out on his walks, he will need to be the only pet in his new abode. His ideal home would be one that is situated in a peaceful area, where there’s relaxing walks nearby, and— although not essential— a garden of his own to practice his toilet training.

Could you be Tweetie's perfect match?

Aged approximately two-years-old, Tweetie has plenty energy and would like to find active adopters who could keep him busy with lots of fun activities. He’s especially fond of playtime and is adorable to watch as he gets the ‘zoomies’ while playing with his toys. Soft and squeaky toys are his number one, but we’re sure that he’d appreciate a big toy box with a variety to choose from. When it comes to walks, Tweetie is always ready and raring to get going! He loves an adventure but is best suited to walking in quieter areas, away from the hustle and bustle. After a day of fun, Tweetie does enjoy spending time by your side, shows off his affection, and likes to lean into you for a fuss.

Jack Russell Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
