About This Dog for Adoption

Ralphy's ideal home

Ralphy is a handsome older gentleman who just likes to take life at his own pace. He loves a good sniffy wander, and then taking himself off to bed for a snooze. He does love a little fuss and will nudge your hand to tell you he's not done receiving love! Being an older gentleman, he's not looking to share his home with another dog so he can relax, but he is happy to walk alongside calm, polite dogs out and about. He is such a sweet, loving boy once you have got to know him. He is looking for a home where all children are 14yrs+ as he does like his own space when he's chilling out.

Could you be Ralphy's perfect match?

Ralphy is a calm boy who is looking for his loving retirement home where he can just snooze the days away and go for a good sniffy walk. Ralphy settles well on his own so can be left for 4-6 hours in the home with a break. He is not a big fan of the vets, so he is wearing a muzzle for his vet visits - he is sensitive around his paws and nails. He can take a little bit to warm up to you but once you have given him a few scratches, you'll have a best friend!
Ralphy came into our care with a docked tail. Tail docking is illegal in the UK, except for essential medical reasons or for certain breeds of working dogs. We are against unnecessary tail docking and do not condone it.

Jack Russell Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
