About This Dog for Adoption

Polly's ideal home

Say hello to Polly, a sweet-natured 7-year-old Jack Russell with a heart full of love to give. This little lady may be small in size, but she's big on affection and is happiest when she's close to her favourite humans. Polly is currently working on her housetraining, so she’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can continue to support her in this area. She is not a fan of too much noise, so she would be looking for a quiet, adult-only home where she can relax and feel safe.

Could you be Polly's perfect match?

Polly is fine to be left for up to 3.5 hours, making her a good fit for someone with a more available schedule or who enjoys a quieter lifestyle. When she’s not snuggled up beside you, she loves having her own quiet spots to retreat to when she needs a little 'me time'. Polly would love to find a calm and caring home where she can enjoy a steady routine, gentle company, and plenty of sofa snuggles. If you think that Polly could be the girl for you, please submit an adoption application and include her as a 'Favourite' dog. Thank you!

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
