About This Dog for Adoption

Pudding's ideal home

9 year old Pudding is looking for his forever home and a family of his own. He will need a adult only home with and a private garden to relax in. He could potentially live with another dog of calm nature and playstyle (depending on a successful dog mix here at the centre) when Pudding first came into our care he did show some resource guarding around high value food. Pudding is nervous of new environments and situations, he is a sensitive boy who likes to get to know you before he shows you his cheeky playful side. Once you have gained his trust Pudding loves a fuss but any new adopters should be prepared to go at Puddings pace. He will need multiple visits here at the centre to build a bond with him and the team will do home visits with him to help him adjust. Leaving alone hours should be built up slowly over time. Pudding finds the vet very scary and is muzzle trained for future vet visits, he does have on going medical to be discussed in full with any new adopters.

Could you be Pudding's perfect match?

Pudding has had an unsettled life so far and it has taken the team lots of patience and time to get him where he is now, he is a sensitive boy that does get scared and nervous. His little personality has really started to shine through, he has a playful personality and enjoys play with soft squeaky toys and is always up for a game of fetch. Pudding likes other dogs that are calm and quickly makes friends, enjoying the company of his walking buddies on his daily walks. If you have a quiet home and can offer this sweet little pudding a fresh start the apply today and add him to your favourites.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
