About This Dog for Adoption
Mary's ideal home
Mary is a young girl who hasn’t had a great start in life. She doesn’t seem to be used to handling and much prefers playtime instead. She’ll do best in a home without children, though older teenagers would be ok. Though Mary came into our care with Moo and they get along really well, she really struggles to meet other dogs. Therefore she will need to be the only pet in the home. Mary is very worried of traffic and can panic. Quiet walks straight from the home will be just the ticket for her. A secure garden all of her own will also give her the space and time outside (which she absolutely adores) in a safe space.
Could you be Mary's perfect match?
Mary is less than a year old and came into our care from another charity. She’s had a tough start to life and does have some anxieties so would love to find an understanding family to help her learn that the world isn’t that scary. Playtime is her favourite and that’s when you’ll see her true personality. We’re not sure if she’s ever lived in a home and so she’ll benefit from a gradual introduction to being left home alone. She does settle in her kennel though, so she should be ok for an hour or so quite quickly. Housetraining shouldn’t take long either, as she really tries to keep her kennel clean. Car travel will need a bit of confidence building too, she could be lifted in but jumped straight out again. Mary just needs a patient and understanding family who will be able to support her and her build her confidence.
