About This Dog for Adoption

Ritz's ideal home

Ritz is a sweet, sensitive soul with a big heart and a gentle nature. At 8 years old, this lovely terrier cross is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly relax and feel secure. He thrives on company and may find it hard being left alone, so he’ll need a family who can be around for most of the day while he builds up confidence at his own pace. Ritz can feel a little unsettled when travelling, so short, positive car journeys and lots of reassurance will help him feel more comfortable over time. Ritz enjoys pottering around on his walks and is happy to say hello to doggy friends. Ritz would really enjoy a quiet life with a comfy bed, kind humans, and plenty of love.

Could you be Ritz's perfect match?

Ritz is hoping for a peaceful home, where the pace is slow and the routine is steady. He can live with adults and calm teens. He’ll need patient adopters who can help him feel safe when left alone, and who understand that building trust takes time. He might suit living as the only dog, where he can enjoy all the attention, but could potentially live with a calm, compatible companion after careful introductions. If you’ve got a quiet home and the time to help Ritz settle in at his own speed, he could be the perfect match!

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
