Archie

6 weeks

Archie's ideal home

If you are after a loyal little explorer with a sensitive soul and a love for scritches, then Archie might just be your new best mate. This two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier is looking for a calm and understanding home where he can take his time settling in and building a strong bond. Once he feels safe, Archie is an affectionate lad who enjoys a good fuss. Archie must be kept on lead in public and loves sniffing out all the best smells on peaceful paths and country lanes. Archie must be the only pet in the home but could have some calm walking buddies for parallel strolls. He could live with children aged 10years or above who are confident, calm, and respectful of his space. His time alone will need to be built up slowly once he has found his paws.

Could you be Archie's perfect match?

Archie might be a shy guy at first, but give him a bit of time and he will soon show you his cheeky, curious side. He is especially fond of being brushed and having a good sniff around the garden, and although he’s not mad about toys, he will sometimes chase after one if the mood strikes him. He enjoys exploring the great outdoors and would thrive with a gentle routine, some positive training, and a bit of encouragement to help build his confidence.

If you’ve got a quiet home, a gentle approach, and a soft spot for sensitive scruffballs who just need a little extra TLC, Archie might be the perfect match.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
