Bruno's ideal home
Bruno is a sweet, gentle and inquisitive 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is currently enjoying life in foster care after finding kennel life a little too stressful. He is a vigilant little man who loves exploring his surroundings and taking in everything around him. Bruno enjoys attention on his terms; he isn’t overly affectionate, but loves being close to his people and following them around like a little shadow. Walkies are a real highlight for Bruno, although he can become very excited when it’s time to head out, so taking things slowly with his harness helps him settle before leaving. He is happy to say hello to new people, but is often more interested in exploring and doing his own thing. Bruno can be easily spooked by loud noises, the hoover, branches or bushes brushing against him, and visitors arriving, so his new family will need to help him build confidence gently.

Bruno loves his toys and enjoys chasing a ball in the garden, as well as having a good chew! He does like to shred and de-stuff soft toys, so his new family will need to bear this in mind. He can also be a little possessive of his toys, although no aggression has been seen, so he would suit a home with secondary school-aged children who understand and respect his independent nature. Bruno is finding being left alone challenging at the moment, meaning any time apart will need to be built up from scratch once he is settled. He is happy to greet dogs while out walking before carrying on with his adventures, and could potentially live with cats, having done so previously. Bruno is a lovely boy looking for a patient family who will give him the time, space and understanding he needs to flourish.
