Toby is an 18-month-old boy with a lovely, gentle nature who just needs a little time to feel comfortable but give him a minute or two and he’s happily approaching for fuss and attention. He’s a medium-energy dog who enjoys a mix of playtime and relaxing, making him a great match for a home with a calm routine. Toby can live with children aged 8+ and may be able to live with a calm, friendly dog, depending on a successful meet at the centre. He does enjoy meeting other dogs but prefers polite greetings and will let others know if they’re being a bit too much.

Toby is still learning about the world, and while he’s not house trained yet, he’s eager to please and will benefit from consistent guidance and patience. A private garden is a must, not just for toilet training but also because Toby has a chase drive, particularly when it comes to traffic and cats. He can’t live with cats or small furries, but he can be left for a few hours once settled, with time alone built up slowly.
