About This Dog for Adoption

Hugo's ideal home

Adorable little Hugo is a 4 year old Poodle cross who is ready to find an understanding and loving forever home. Hugo isn't quite as confident as he seems and gets a lot of confidence from his trusted friends with whom he forms strong bonds with. He'd love a family with children of 16+ who can understand his worries and learn to read his body language. Hugo can be a cheeky boy at times and has been know to steal items he shouldn't have, like socks, but he is slowly learning to swap and drop these for a tasty treat. This training will need to be continued in his forever home to help him feel comfortable when giving up items of value. Hugo has previously been housetrained and is quite happy being left for a few hours home alone, however we recommend this is gradually built back up as he settles back into home life. Hugo has been having some medicated baths whilst in our care and he's been a very good boy for these, followed by a towel dry and a game of zoomies around our grooming room! Hugo would love to find patient and understanding adopters who can help him overcome some of his fears and worries with the guidance of our training team.

Could you be Hugo's perfect match?

Hugo is a wonderful little lad who can find the big wide world a little overwhelming. We think he'd thrive in a patient and calm house hold where he can get all the attention he deserves. Hugo enjoys his food and is happy showing of a trick or two for a tasty treat, so we're sure it wont take him too long to learn a few new things! Hugo is currently on medication and this will need to continued in his forever home, our team here at the centre would be happy to discuss his needs with any potential adopters.
