About This Dog for Adoption

Tony's ideal home

Tony is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures and provide him with fun and mentally stimulating enrichment to keep his brain busy. Adopters with terrier experience is preferred but not essential. This independent boy can live with children aged 12 years and over who will give him space to explore and rest when needed. Tony can be a little hesitant with other dogs, especially bouncy and boisterous dogs, he is looking to be the only pet in the home so he can enjoy all of his adopter’s attention to himself, he would be happy with calm and polite walking buddies. Tony has little training under his belt, he can be quite distracted and would prefer to engage in training in short, sweet sessions, he is not very interested in treats, but will engage for a fuss. He will need a refresher on his housetraining in his new home so a private, secure garden is needed. Tony could settle in the home, so could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Tony will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Tony's perfect match?

Pint sized pocket rocket Tony is a 5 year old Terrier Cross who likes to explore and be busy. He is not very interested in toys at the moment, he would prefer to sniff around and explore his surroundings. He does like cuddle time and will approach for cuddles, he happily climbs into your lap for snuggles, when he is done he will take himself away. This awesome little dude is on the hunt for his new home.
