About This Dog for Adoption

Libby's ideal home

Libby is a sweet 3-year-old crossbreed who enjoys snuggles and playing with her tennis balls! She can be nervous around people she doesn’t know, so any potential adopters will need to visit her at the centre a few times so she can get to know them before going home. Libby is also a little worried by dogs, but this is manageable out and about, and this is something our training team can discuss with her potential adopters further. Libby would need to be the only dog in an adult only home, and she would love an enclosed garden where her new family can throw a tennis ball about for her. Libby will need someone around most of the time whilst she settles in but would be fine to be left for short periods once a relationship has been built.

Could you be Libby's perfect match?

Whilst Libby can be worried around unfamiliar people, she can build a relationship quickly, and once friends with you, she loves a snuggle on the sofa! She is so playful and enjoys going for walks, she also travels great in the car so is happy to travel further afield for her adventures. Libby is currently living off site in a foster home where she is being the perfect houseguest.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
