Description

Moby's ideal home

Moby is an excitable and playful boy who has been working really hard with our training team and is ready to meet his forever family. He is looking for a quiet, adult only home environment with a secure garden of his own to zoom around in! Moby will need to be the only pet in the home but he has been enjoying meeting similar sized, playful dogs. He can guard resources around the house. He is on a training programme for this and has done really well in centre, but does need a family that will be committed to continue this in the home. Moby will need multiple meets before he is ready to head off home, so his new family will need to be prepared to make several trips to the centre and have home visits.

Could you be Moby's perfect match?

Moby is a loving boy who needs a patient family to help him transition into a home. He’ll need people who can read and listen to his body language to ensure that he is set up for success. Moby has been doing exceptionally well with his training and is ready to show off all his skills! Moby has been happy in and around a car in our in-centre assessments but can lunge towards moving traffic, so quiet walking spots would be ideal. He has struggled to be left in the past so would prefer to have this built up from scratch, but can be left for an hour or so once settled. Being young (he’s only 2),he is very active and bouncy, but also loves lots of fuss once he trust you.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
