Hermione

Hermione's ideal home

We are looking for a quiet, adult only home for Hermione that has secure, private garden and is ideally located in a low dog populated area. Her new home will need to have minimal number of visitors and no visiting children. Her adopters will need to be prepared to continue her training programmes she has started her at the centre. These include a muzzle training programme, improving her reaction to other dogs, and putting a visitor programme in place to ensure she can feel safe when people do visit. Hermione would also benefit from having her own quiet space to snooze and eat undisturbed. She is not a fan of other dogs and will need to be kept on lead and wear her muzzle whilst out on her walks. We are looking to rehome her as an only dog, and she cannot live with cats. She has the potential to be left for a couple of hours, providing this time was built up slowly and once she has had time to settle.

Hermione does have on-going medical issues. She has osteoarthritis in her stifles and hips, which we are currently managing with pain relief, and cataracts in both her eyes.

Could you be Hermione's perfect match?

Hermione is a 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. This sweet, older girl enjoys nothing more than her home comforts. She is surprisingly active for her age and likes a game of hide and seek with her carers, as well as slow, sniffy walks in quiet areas. She is happy to engage in training sessions and she would benefit from a home who would be happy to keep her mind active with short, fun training sessions.
