Hobo's ideal home

Meet 11-year-old Sponsor dog, Hobo. This lovable guy is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors. Hi ideal family would have experience with/are willing to learn about dogs with resource guarding and worries around handling. He would like a family to continue his training plans using positive reinforcement techniques, taking things at his own pace. Hobo would like to have his own space in the house where he can go in and relax when he would like to. Additionally, he would like a private and secure garden to enjoy off lead fun with his favourite people. He would like to be the only dog in the home but could live with small furries if kept always separated. He can also have calm walking friend out on his walks. Hobo is currently living at another location in South Oxfordshire, potential adopters will need to be willing to travel to said location to meet him for a number of meets before going home. Home visits will also be required so owners will need to be within an hour of the centre. All details will be provided upon booking.

Hobo is a fun and playful older boy who adores challenging his brain. He will learn almost anything he puts his mind to and is always searching for the next thing to test his brain. He is looking to spend his later years with lots of home comforts and especially loves snuggling under a duvet and lots of blankets. Hobo can be uncomfortable with overhandling but is a cuddle-bug with people he has a secure bond with. He absolutely loves his toys but likes his own space around them, he knows ‘leave’, ‘wait’ and ‘swap’ which are great to engage in play with him. Hobo needs a special family who can take the time to get to know him so he can show them how wonderful he is.
