DescriptionSammy's ideal home
Sammy is a lovely little lad who is looking for a home with children 16+ where he can gain his confidence. He is a sensitive boy who can find the world quite a scary place, so he'd love adopters that let him take things one paw at time. He can find sudden and loud noises a bit scary, so a peaceful home would be perfect for him. At the moment Sammy is looking for a home where he will be the only dog with access to peaceful and quiet walking areas where he can slowly practice his socialisation. It's important Sammy has his own garden when he can safely play and explore without too much pressure. Sammy has been in a home for a short period where he was happy being left for a few hours and was also housetrained. His new family will need to be happy committing to meeting Sammy a few times here at the centre to build a relationship with him and get involved with his training with our training and behaviour team. Sammy isn't a big fan of too much handling and is learning to wear a muzzle for when he see's the vet.
Could you be Sammy's perfect match?
Sammy does have some medical needs that our adoption team would be happy to talk you through. It's important that Sammy can have his own safe area in his new home where he can take himself away to if he's feeling overwhelmed.
