About This Dog

Chyna's ideal home

Meet cuddly girl Chyna, an almost 14 year old Chihuahua cross who will definitely steal your heart. She just wants the simple things in life, a gentle stroll followed by a snooze on the sofa, and if there are a few tasty treats in the mix, the day is made! She likes a gentle fuss and will sit on your lap for cuddles, back scratches are her favourite, although she is not a fan of fusses around her face. This pampered pooch is ready to find her new home.

Could you be Chyna's perfect match?

Chyna is looking for a calm and relaxed home with adopters who will take her on gentle sniffy strolls, will play with her and give her all the love and care she deserves. She likes her space and could live with older secondary school children who will play with her gently and will give her space to rest when needed. Chyna can be quite indifferent with dogs, preferring the company of people, so would be able to live with another dog as long as they are happy to just co exist, she would be happiest with walks in quieter areas, although she can see dogs with no issue. She has a little training under her belt, she knows her name and will come back when called, she can lose interest in training quite easily so be armed with some super tasty treats, but not too many because she is on a diet. She would prefer a home with a private garden to potter around in. Chyna can be very worried being left alone, she would like adopters who are home the majority of the time, or who can take her with them. Any leaving would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Chyna is on daily medication and will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
