About This Dog for Adoption

Freya and Boris's ideal home

Freya and Boris are an adorable duo in search of a loving home where they can stay together and flourish. They’d thrive in a calm home environment, in a peaceful neighbourhood or rural area, with access to quieter walking routes where they’re less likely to bump into other dogs—which is especially important for Freya, who is still building her confidence around canine encounters. While they can’t live with other pets, Freya and Boris do have experience around children and could share their home with gentle primary-school-aged children, who understand the importance of giving dogs their space, especially when they’re resting. A secure garden is a must, offering them a space to play and explore freely at their own pace. Despite their love for one another, the pair must be fed separately to prevent any squabbles, and unlike Freya, Boris is on a hypoallergenic diet.

Could you be Freya and Boris's perfect match?

Freya is a sweet-natured Jack Russell Terrier, reserved at first but full of charm once she feels safe. She has a gentle soul and finds great comfort in soft squeaky toys, which she delicately boops with her nose before zooming around with joyfully. She enjoys calm attention and will politely let you know when she’s had enough by stepping away. Boris, her six-year-old French Bulldog companion, is more confident and sociable, and Freya often looks to him for reassurance. He loves nothing more than a good fuss and a game of tug with his favourite toy. He’s playful, curious, and loves to pluck at his toys with gusto—often nudging Freya aside in his excitement, so having a toy box well-stocked for two is essential! Together, they’re a beautiful pair and would be the perfect match for a family who can offer plenty of patience, a little additional training, and sofa snuggles when they are ready.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
