About This Dog

Pippa's ideal home

Pippa is a gentle, ten-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is searching for a peaceful retirement home where she can enjoy quiet days with her humans, relaxing and snoozing the day away. While she prefers her independence and isn’t fond of being picked up, Pippa is friendly toward new people, often approaching them in hopes of a tasty snack. However, she can be a bit snatchy when it comes to food, so a gentle approach is recommended. To help her feel more at ease, it would be beneficial for her to eat in a quiet, undisturbed space where she can enjoy her meals in peace. She is best suited to a home with older teens, who could be respectful of her space, while being calm around her. Pippa does enjoy meeting other likeminded pooches on her walks, but she prefers her own space indoors and will need to be the only pet at home. It is likely that she will need some assistance with toilet training once she settles in, so a garden of her own is essential, and it's important to provide plenty of opportunities for her to go outside.

Could you be Pippa's perfect match?

Despite her age, Pippa is a playful lady who loves her toys, and is particularly fond of her special chaser toy. However, she can tire easily after playing, so play sessions should be kept short. Providing her with a big toy box to choose from at home should keep her tail wagging! She's always up for walkies and prefers quieter routes, away from busy roads or heavy traffic. Affectionate with her favourite friends, Pippa likes a gentle fuss, but her adopters should be mindful that she isn't a fan of being picked up.
