About This Dog for Adoption

Elsa's ideal home

Elsa is a timid little girl who was found as a stray. We don't think she has had much experience with people or dogs in her previous life as she can find them both overwhelming. She is looking for a quiet home with no other pets and where the youngest are older teens who are able to read her body language. She would like all of her walks to be in peaceful surroundings and a private garden for her to enjoy is essential. Elsa hasn't had much in terms of training so will need help with toilet training and teaching her some of the basics. She really struggles with being left for any period of time so she would like someone to keep her company for the majority of the day.

Could you be Elsa's perfect match?

Elsa is currently enjoying life in one of our foster homes. She is a sweet little lapdog in the home who enjoys spending time with her foster carers on the sofa. She can be worried by unknown people which will sometimes show as her hiding or barking at people, but once she knows you she is an affectionate girl. Other dogs are also a little worrying at the moment and does occasionally bark at them in the distance, she would benefit from further socialisation with other friendly dogs.

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
