Description

Fred's ideal home

Fred has started his search for a home, he is looking for active adopters who can take him on walkies and give him cuddles when they get home. Fred can live with children aged 12 and over that will understand when he is uncomfortable and give him space. Fred can happily share his home with another calm dog of a similar size who will be happy to co-exist, he could also live with cats. Fred knows some basic training and is housetrained, so can live in a home with a private or communal garden. Fred struggles a little to be left, so he would need leaving time built up once he is settled into his new home. He settles really nicely in the car, laying down quietly for the whole journey. Due to issues with his eye during his time with us, Fred had to have his eye medically removed, it has healed nicely and he is ready to embark on the next journey with his new adopters. Fred will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying.

Could you be Fred's perfect match?

Meet Fred, the 5 year, 8 month old Jack Russell Terrier! Fred is a loveable little man, who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa. Fred can be a little shy at first, but comes around quickly and soon wants to be your best friend. Fred loves a good brush, even though he doesn't really need it much, he enjoys the scratchy feeling. Could you be Fred's new companion?

Jack Russell Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
