About This Dog

Jed's ideal home

Jed is an eleven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, a senior gent looking for a loving home. He shares his foster home brilliantly with another canine and would enjoy finding a new home with another dog. He has no history living with cats, he may chase small furries and has not been around livestock. Jed could share his home with secondary school aged children. He is housetrained. He travels well in the car. Jed has been used to rural life in the countryside and is not accustomed to walks around traffic, in his foster home he has been experiencing street walks, but it’s not his favourite location. Jed is worried by loud noises such as bangs, gun shots and heavy vehicle noise. Jed may take a few days to settle and find his paws in a new location, but when he does, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal companion.

Could you be Jed's perfect match?

Jed is a sweet lad, shy initially, and with a gentle, slow approach, Jed will choose to come over to you when he is ready. Like a lot of Terriers, Jed is a mix of independent and affection. He adores your company, to know that you are about, but does not need to be stuck to you like Velcro. Jed is often happy to chill out in your presence, potter about the garden with you, or lay stretched out in the same room as you. Jed will initiate a fuss and affection when he is ready and during that time, he adores having his very soft ears stroked. His favourite place to lounge about in the evenings is the top of the sofa. Jed sometimes enjoys a game of fetch with you, he likes squeaky toys, and he is quite fussy with his treats. Jed loves to go for walks on his long line in the countryside, grassy areas with lots of sniffs. He will happily meet and greet other dogs when he sees them.
