Vernon's ideal home
Vernon would be comfortable with a home where any children are upper secondary school aged and above. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home, although he could continue working on his social skills with calm dog friends out and about. He is looking for a cat-free home, and any small furries should be kept separate. Vernon will need a private, secure garden with at least 6-foot fencing where he can safely build his confidence, and he is likely to be a home-and-garden dog initially while he settles into family life.

Meet our handsome 6 year old terrier cross Vernon. He is looking for a quiet and understanding home where he can take life at his own pace. As Vernon has had very little previous life experience, he will need patient adopters who are committed to continuing his confidence-building and desensitisation training. He is still learning to walk on the lead and can find traffic, cars and busy environments worrying, but he's growing braver with each new experience. He can enjoy friendly sniffs with other dogs and particularly likes spending time with dogs he knows well.
