About This Dog

Poppy's ideal home

Poppy is a fun-loving 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a big personality packed into a little body. She loves playing with her toys, exploring on walks and curling up under the covers for a cuddle at the end of the day. She settled into foster care quickly and has shown herself to be an affectionate, playful companion who enjoys being close to her people. Poppy is house-trained, travels well in the car and can be left for short periods once settled. She'll need ongoing positive support with handling and vet visits, but in return you'll gain a loyal little best friend who'll happily join you on all of life's adventures.

Could you be Poppy's perfect match?

Poppy is looking for a loving home with adopters who can continue building her confidence through reward-based training. She could live with children aged 8 years and over who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. She may be able to live with another dog following successful introductions but cannot live with cats or small furry pets. A private garden would be beneficial, and any leaving time should be built up gradually, although she has settled well when left for a couple of hours in foster.
