About This Dog for Adoption

Diego's ideal home

Diego needs a home where any children are older teens, and with no other pets although he can walk alongside some dogs. We have no history for Diego so cannot guarantee that he is house trained or used to being home by himself.

Could you be Diego's perfect match?

Diego is an active little fella who is very happy to meet people away from his kennel but was initially very unsure of us when inside. He came to us via our local dog warden so we don't know his background, but he could certainly use a family that will help him build his confidence in new situations. As he has begun to settle, we've been able to see Diego's real personality and he enjoys affection and is a real cutie. He likes to be able to approach people first rather than have them suddenly bend towards him to say hello. When he's met other dogs at the centre Diego has been very friendly but his body language can be mixed at times. He has a tendency to try to hump so it's best he just sticks with walking buddies for now so that he can learn some appropriate social skills. Diego loves his grub! He has no problem polishing off his food every time and he should be left alone in peace to do so. He didn't really bother with toys in his kennel but whilst spending time in an office he became more and more playful with us, before eventually happily playing by himself.
