About This Dog for Adoption

Due to a change in life circumstances, I’m sadly looking to rehome Penny and find her a home that truly understands and suits her.

Penny is a 5-year-old Jack Russell with all the classic terrier qualities: clever, loyal, brave, and deeply devoted to her people. She is incredibly affectionate with those she knows and trusts; she loves cuddles, will follow you from room to room, and always wants to be part of what you’re doing.

She is also well trained, with excellent recall and a great repertoire of tricks. Penny can be left on her own for several hours without issue and settles well in the home. She thrives on routine, clarity, and calm leadership.

Penny would do best with experienced terrier owners who understand that, while she is sweet and loving, she does have boundaries that need to be respected. She is not a “bombproof” dog and needs people who can read her signals and give her space when she asks for it.

She enjoys the company of other dogs but is very vocal about her personal space, particularly with larger dogs or dogs that rush her. For this reason, she needs to be an only pet in the home.

A secure garden is essential, as Penny loves being able to explore, sniff, and burn off her terrier energy safely.

Penny is a truly loyal, funny, loving companion who bonds deeply with her person. In the right home, with people who understand and respect her, she will give her whole heart.

Finding the right home is so important I am happy to answer questions and take the time needed to make sure Penny is placed carefully and responsibly.
