About This Dog for Adoption

Hugo's ideal home

Little Hugo can live with children aged eight and up but will need to be the only dog as his reactions to others can be mixed. He is house trained and can be left alone for four hours or so once he's settled in. Hugo can pant heavily in the car and isn't used to travelling for more than 15 minutes.

Could you be Hugo's perfect match?

Hugo is a lovely golden oldie who finds himself in need of a new family after his owner sadly passed away. He's a very friendly chap who's on a mission to make as many human friends as he can; he has no loyalty whatsoever and will go wherever the attention is offered! Hugo is always excited for his walks although given his age and breed they are kept short and steady now, but he's allowed plenty time to sniff and take in the local news. Sometimes on his walks Hugo will stop and say hello to other dogs but on occasion he will also bark and lunge at hm, so interactions should be kept short, just in case. Hugo LOVES his grub! He eats very quickly and would benefit from a slow feeder to prevent any tummy problems, but he has been on a bit of a weight loss program since he arrived. A home that would give him lots and blankets and cushions for him to make a cosy nest in would be ideal for this distinguished gentleman, and he will let you make a fuss of him until the cows come home.
