About This Dog for Adoption

Rosie's ideal home

Rosie is being rehomed alongside best pal Poppy. They can live with children over the age of 10 but no other pets as Poppy is quite avoidant of other animals. Both dogs are house trained but need someone there most of the day as they aren't used to being left alone for any length of time. Rosie has mitral valve heart disease and a grade four heart murmur but does not require medication.

Could you be Rosie's perfect match?

Rosie is such a dainty little sweetheart and she's looking for a home with Poppy, her best friend in all the world. She looks to her chum for a lot of her confidence as she isn't quite as outgoing as her, but to be fair Poppy does tend to be rather forward when it comes to giving and getting attention from people! Poor Rosie recently had to have 29 teeth removed but she's recovering well. She's enjoyed the extra attention and is happy to be picked up and made a fuss of. Rosie is 14 and doesn't walk quite as far as Poppy would like to go, and she tends to avoid other dogs on her walks and will look to friend to protect her if she feels worried. She and Poppy are a delightful pair of golden oldie and they will bring someone a lot of happiness.

Jack Russell Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Jack Russell Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Jack Russell Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
