About This Dog

Toby's ideal home

Toby needs a home with no other pets as he was brought to us for not getting along with another dog in the home. He is house trained, can be left alone for a couple of hours once settled, and can live with children of high school age. Ideally he'll be rehomed away from a main road as he is afraid of traffic.

Could you be Toby's perfect match?

Toby isn't entirely sure about his new situation but lots of reassurance from his handlers is making things OK. He is settled in his kennel but very watchful when on his walks, and prefers to take them when the centre is relatively quiet. As he is rather nervous, Toby would benefit from his adopters allowing him a couple of weeks to settle into his new home before having visitors round to the house, just to help him settle and find some confidence. Toby likes to have a minute to suss people out before approaching them but he is a friendly little lad in general. He enjoys walking with other dogs so a nice circle of friends to enjoy those with would be nice for him, he just doesn't like other dogs in his home receiving attention. We have seen a little interest in toys but this will probably show itself more once he's adjusted to his new life at home.
