About This Dog for Adoption

Pearl's ideal home

Pearl is an adorable little lady bursting with energy and enthusiasm. You’d never guess she’s 10 years old, as she still zips around like a puppy. Despite her zest for life, Pearl has a sensitive side and can feel overwhelmed at times, so she’s looking for an active yet understanding family who can offer her patience and plenty of company, as she can find it challenging when left alone. She’d be happiest in a calm home with older, dog-savvy, secondary-school aged children who can respect her boundaries. She will need to be the only pet at home and requires walks in quieter areas, where she can avoid bumping into lots of off-lead pooches, as she seems to lack in social skills and can vocalise when spotting dogs about. Pearl would also prefer to live in a quieter location, away from the hustle and bustle. She would benefit from a garden of her own to help her settle into a toileting routine.

Could you be Pearl's perfect match?

Playful and full of fun, Pearl loves her toys—especially a game of tug or chasing a tennis ball—but she’ll need gentle guidance to help her wind down after play, as she can become a little too fixated. Calming activities like treat-snuffling are perfect for her. Though she enjoys her walks and a touch of adventure, they should be kept to around an hour a day to protect her joints. With time, patience, and plenty of love, Pearl will blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion who’s sure to brighten every day.
