About This Dog

Harry T's ideal home

Harry is sweet six-year-old Terrier cross Westie, who entered our care through no fault of his own. He’s a friendly and affectionate boy, with a playful personality and a lot of love to give. Harry thrives off human attention and his carers have described him as being a “joy to spend time with”. Harry has experience around children and would be suited to live with secondary-school aged kids. However, he is happy to have younger visitors, so long as they are sensible and know to respect his space. Harry can be nervous meeting larger dogs but socialises well with smaller pooches of a similarly friendly character to his own. However, he would like to be the only dog in the household, as he’s not keen on sharing his toys, and he is unable to live with any other types of animals, including cats. Harry was very well house-trained in his previous home and remains clean in the kennel environment but may need time adjusting to new routines and habits.

Could you be Harry T's perfect match?

Toys are Harry’s absolute favourite thing of all, and he is particularly fond of the squeaky kind! He’ll happily play independently but will never turn down a game of fetch with his favourite friends. As toys are of such high value to Harry, it is advisable to always ‘swap and drop’ and to let him win over a game of tug! Harry walks nicely on the lead, is a brilliant traveller in the car, and loves to use his nose for a good sniff, so would make for a fantastic adventure buddy! He’ll likely want to snuggle up next to you on the sofa, or hop into bed with you at nighttime, as this is what he has been used to in his previous home.
