Petal's ideal home

Petal is a 7 year old JRT. She is now ready to start looking for her new forever home. Petal is currently in one of our lovely foster carers home where she has settled nicely and very much enjoys their company. She is fantastic with people and does not take her long and she build very strong bonds with her human friends. Petal has lived with children before, she does however have some loss of vision which can mean she can be startled easily so feel she would be better suited living with children aged 12 and above. Due to Petal's eye sight she can find being out on a walk overwhelming with dogs around. She has walked with calm dogs previously that give her space and are respectful she can however be reactive towards dogs out and about if noisy and suddently appear. We would be looking for new owners that are willing/able to work with Petal to make her feel more relaxed in situations like this, but is likely to always need quieter walks to help her relax, due to this she is better suited as the only pet in the home. Petal sleeps downstairs at night time with no problems, however she does struggle being left alone. New owners are going to need to help Petal settle and have someone around a lot of the time as this is something Petal has always struggled with. She travels really well in the car, and is very housetrained. She settles lovely in the home as long as one of her human friends are with her.

Petal loves company of humans and very much enjoys the quiet life. If you feel you could offer Petal a quiet life as well as company a lot of the time, and willing to do extra training to help and support Petal in certain situations. She is very clever and very much willing to learn. She loves her own secure garden to play and relax in, and would benefit from having this in her forever home.
