Barry's ideal home
Barry is a 2year old Jack Russell Terrier. He is looking for a home where he can be the only pet and could live with children of Secondary School age. While having a garden is not essential for Barry, he would like access to a secure area away from other dogs where he could burn off some energy.
Could you be Barry's perfect match?
Barry came into us due to not getting along with the other dog in the home. He is under socialised around dogs and not sure how to interact with them and can be worried which he shows by being vocal towards them. He will need to be walked on lead outside of the home and would benefit from some further socialisation around dogs once he is settled into his new home to help him feel more comfortable around dog interactions in future. Our training and behaviour team can offer advice on how to manage this. Barry is a clever, active boy and would benefit from learning some new things to help keep his mind busy and build his confidence. Little Barry has been friendly with everyone he has met at the centre and loves having some fuss and playing with his toys - the squeakier the better! Barry can be worried by invasive veterinary handling, especially around his head and has been muzzled as a precaution to keep him safe during these checks. Barry is a young boy with so much potential and will make a fun companion for his new home.
