About This Dog for Adoption

Spot's ideal home

Spot can live with high school aged children abut needs to be the only pet. we have no history for him and cannot guarantee that he is house trained.

Could you be Spot's perfect match?

Spot is a very playful and friendly boy so it baffles us that he was an unclaimed stray. He loves to be out and about and enjoys long walks but he can be quite intent on pulling in a certain direction when he wants to go somewhere. Spot has built a lovely bond with his handlers and we think that as long as his new family give him some time to settle, he'll be just as close to them too. He's a curious boy but likes to be allowed to sniff someone before they go in for a stroke. Spot has been playful with a lot of dogs he has met but his reactions are often mixed when greeting others. We'd advise that he's better suited to being the only dog in the household whilst he works on his social skills with some calm friends outside the house. Spot loves to play and will run after tennis balls and bring them straight back to you. He doesn't appear to have had much in the way of basic training so his adopters should be wiling to put a little work in on his basics right away. He loves treats so lots of praise and titbits will get him there much more quickly.
