About This Dog for Adoption

Missy's ideal home

Missy can live with children over the age of 12 and will need to be the only pet. She is house trained and can be left for about three hours by herself once settled in. Missy has a luxating patella but this doesn't bother her daily life.

Could you be Missy's perfect match?

Poor Missy isn't too chuffed with centre life and has been hiding herself away. She's beginning to trust her handlers though, and enjoys getting out of her kennel for her daily walks, hunting out any leftover treats. Missy has also begun to show us her cuddly side and is starting to play with us. We're still going at Missy's pace, she isn't ready for the full hands on experience yet and was very worried during her veterinary exam. We'll get there, and we advise her adopters to take this slow approach also to give Missy the best chance of success in her new home. She likes people but is slow to interact, appreciating the chance to investigate before saying hello. Missy has had mixed reactions when meeting other dogs. She is initially friendly and relaxed but sometimes she becomes a little tense. She can have friends outside the home but would be happiest as the only dog.
