Mia's ideal home

Mia is a 1 year old Jack Russell Terrier who can be quite a sensitive soul at times. She shows this by being vocal, both inside and outside the house, so will need adopters who are happy to take on a vocal dog and work on building her confidence. When she’s in a familiar environment with known people her affectionate side really shines through, and she loves to cuddle up on the sofa with you. Mia is currently in a foster home and has taken several weeks for her to feel comfortable, so will need time to settle in her new home and adopters must be willing to take on a project dog and help her true potential shine through.

Could you be Mia's perfect match?

Mia is looking for an adult only home with no young visiting children as she can react at children. She has previously lived with dogs but is a lot calmer in the house without another dog around, therefore she will need to be the only dog in the home. Mia can bark at other dogs on walks, but out of frustration as she wants to say hello, so will need adopters happy to teach her focus around other dogs. Mia hasn’t been left very much and has struggled being away from the foster carers so is looking for a home with minimal leaving hours initially, and these will need to be built up over time. She will need her own secure garden and as she is so noise sensitive, we are looking for a home in a quiet area, with no neighbouring dogs ideally. Mia does require surgery on one of her back legs and this will be done once she’s in her forever home.
